“My six favorite textures for fall and winter are leather, fur, tweed, mohair, velvet and wool. I love that they are all as warm as they are fashionable and easy to incorporate into your wardrobe.” ~ Nina Garcia
Last year I was in Burlington and had to (had too!) go into my favorite boutique called the Sweet lady Jane. Filled with lesser known, but equally fabulous designers, it has become one of my must visit stops every time I am in Burlington. I have gotten some serious one of a kind pieces, from a pink ruffled pea coat, to a lace mini skirt, to this faux fur leather jacket.
One of the trends last year and continuing this year was fur, especially vested fur. Many designers created jackets with the vested look whether it was with anorak styled jackets with leather or leather with fur.
I came stumbled across this jacket, which happened to be on sale. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, but my two best friends convinced me to try it on. The minute I slipped the super snuggle jacket on, I fell in love. Any doubts washed away, and even if I had to sell a kidney I knew I had to have it. Thankfully I didn’t have to sell a kidney, and I haven’t taken it off since.
Okay I kid. Obviously I stopped wearing it during the summer. But the minute colder weather prevailed I pulled this jacket from my closet and have rocked it ever since.
I have talked a lot about how fashion doesn’t always mean functional, but this jacket is. It is incredibly warm, keeping me toasty even when it is pushing the twenties. It has two deep pockets and while they don’t zip, they are deep enough that nothing will fall out. Their are zippers at the wrists, which if I get to hot I will unzip and it really does help to cool me off. it comes with a belt that I sometimes wear. But I can totally get away not rocking it and it doesn’t look weird with the belt loops.
It zips but also has a mandarin collar that snaps creating extra fashion.
While the arms are made of faux leather, the faux fur is so incredibly soft, I may or may not occasionally start stroking myself. I swear it isn’t as weird as that sounds. It really is soft! I want a blanket made out of it!
I like this jacket too, because it is longer then my leather jacket. It is also dressy, so perfect to wear to the ballet or a gala over an evening gown.
This has definitely become a staple in my winter wardrobe.
What do you think of this jacket? Do you have a jacket like this?
Can we talk about those boots?
Oh my gosh I love you! Thank you! Those boots are so comfy! I got them at Macy’s for forty dollars and they are worth every penny! <3
I personally love the jacket, so stylish and perfect to go out and about in! I also love your scarves that you pair it with!!

LOVE IT!!!!! You pull it off SO well too. I’ve noticed a ton of the faux fur everywhere. I may have to hunt one down myself now. It can be worn casually or fancy too, so I love that versaility! Gorg gorg gorgggggeous! **Ps. So glad you still have your kidneys. LOL
