I have mentioned (ahem one or ten thousand times) how much I love a great dress especially during the holiday season. It really does put the glam in glamorous this time of year. And with things seeming back to normal-ish I have had quite a few occasions and events where I have once again been able to rock glamorous dresses which makes me so happy! I feel like I have accumulated quite a few the last few years and here is to rocking them out!
The dress
I was actually looking for a dress that was a bit more demure then most of the ones I have, and that I could wear for Midnight Mass. I have to admit I didn’t love this dress at first. I am not a huge fan of a color block (I know, I know) look and I also am not a fan of burgundy this time of year. I want a bright red. THAT is what Christmas clothes scream to me. BUT sometimes you have to make an exception and that is where this dress comes in and honestly it is one of my favorites now.
The bodice is silk with a slight vee, but with adjustable straps it is higher up. It is a brighter red then the skirt which is a deep burgundy, but the skirt also sold me with its faux wrap style and gauzy high low skirt. It has a bow that you can tie or take off altogether. It really is a stunning dress.

How I styled it
Despite the color of the dress, it really is a blank canvas and I styled it two ways, one with a cashmere wrap also from Lulu’s that is so soft and adds some warmth. But I also went a little edgy with styling it with my faux suede moto jacket, which is a staple. I would have loved to rock my red bow heels but I felt the colors clashed to much, so I paired it with my black booties. I also have nude heels that would work perfectly. I finished it off with my knotted gold earrings from Sewciaite and I am obsessed with how it came out. I am all ready for Christmas Eve Mass or to go out to a fancy event.
Do you like to get dressed up this time of year? Do you prefer fancy or dressy?
