A Shoe Affair

Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world. ~ Marilyn Monroe

I havs this little substance abuse problem…It is called expensive footwear ~ Carrie Bradshaw

This beautiful weather has got me all kinds of excited. My feet are very happy feet. I can throw those boots away and let my feet breathe and my toes do a jig. The season of pedicures has begun. Letting my feet dance in the grass and the sand fall between in a rough caress. It is coming home at night to give them a scrub because they are as black as the tar on which they walked on all day. And I don’t even care.

Shoes are the quickest way for women to achieve instant metamorphosis ~ Manolo Blahnik

It is when heels and flirty strappy sandals are truly acceptable, because I don’t have to worry about snow and slush. And I can get truly crazy with stylish wedges (Kate Spade anyone?)

Jeans, flirty little skirts, who cares when my feet are kicking it up in style?

It is the click clack on the boardwalks. The sun giving me a flip flop tan. It is the rainbow on my toes or the care free, goes with anything French. It is the freedom my piggys have that say adios restrictive boots, ugly Uggs, and broken tail bones during winter and hello sunshine, summertime, and sandals.

Not only are my feet happy, but I am happy! Bring it summer!

I am a country girl living on the Upper East Side of the concrete jungle. My friends call me a modern day Renaissance woman. I have dabbled in a little bit of everything, from being a yoga instructor to holistic chef, to skating coach, to glorified nanny, to student. I am a self admitted coffee junkie. A wannabe mermaid. A wanderluster who dreams of other countries. A fashionista who really does need a bigger bank account. But most important of all, I dream of living in a bungalow by the ocean and being a published writer (in style of course) sipping coffee in the morning and a martini in the evening. I love to meet my readers, so feel free to comment or email me. Happy reading!
