Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. ~ Coco Chanel
Since I was a teenager (which is a scary thought) I have loved blazers. As a nineties baby, I grew up in an era of Abercrombie and Express where stylish grunge and clunky were the trends. Their was something glamorous and mature about a blazer that appealed to my hormonal driven angsty self. I wanted to be taken seriously and nothing is more ball busting then a suit jacket.
As I have aged – gracefully, hopefully- blazers haven’t just appealed to me for the “I am woman” of the business world, but also because of the chicness they give to any outfit.
I have paired a blazer with ripped jeans, dresses, skirts, and yes suits. Blazers aren’t the typical black or pinstripe, they once were. I have blazers in stripes, with ruffles, long, cropped, and caped among many styles. Designers are constantly giving this staple piece an updated look.
Recently I just bought a long powder blue called the Boatman Blazer from Anthro, an online exclusive, it was also on sale! I love a fashionable steal.
Once you find the right one and right fit, your look will go from drab to fab instantly! Here are some of my favorite blazers – Including the Boatman – and yes most of them are from Anthro. I did cheat on them by adding the girlie lace jacket from Bloomies. I am obsessed with the delicateness and femininity!
💕I love Blazers too I think they add instant sophistication to even a t shirt and jeans 💕
Yes! I agree a hundred and twenty percent with you!:)
