“The heat of autumn is different from the heat of summer. One ripens apples, the other turns them to cider.” ~ Jane Hirshfield, The Heat of Autumn
Happy Fall Y’all!
Happy Fall Y’all! I have to say it does not feel like it! While it has slightly cooled off and today we are dealing with the remnants of Ophelia, it is still quite warm and let me tell you the leaves have not changed much! In fact very little! With how warm it has been, and the rainy temps, they seem quite content showcasing all that gorgeous green chlorophyll! Despite being in a constant summer (or Christmas) state of mind, I do love the change of foliage and I am counting the days until they do finally change which seems quite late this year! I truly do love the gorgeous show they put on especially in New England!
I am also excited to do all the fall things. Yes friends, I am a basic beeyatch or what I prefer to call extra beeyatch. Because I am very extra and I proudly own it. I of course have been drinking ALL the pumpkin cream coldbrew, which sounding like a broken record, the PCC is the far superior fall choice over the PSL. Though I also am obsessed with Starbucks new iced chai pumpkin cream drink, which is a sweet decadent treat.
Fall drinks aside, I can not wait to go apple picking ad well as pumpkin picking. Fall is going to be lit! Or at least that is what I am telling myself. I am starting the season with some family stuff, much like I started the summer, but such is life and I am getting excited for the fall. Which I will probably celebrate for like two weeks before it is then officially time for Christmas! After all I really only have two seasons: Summer and Christmas!
Are you excited for fall? Do you have any fun autumn plans?
