Life has been cray-cray guys. As you probably noticed this summer I dropped off the face of the earth (okay dramatic much?) and posted sporadically. Not to mention the comments. I fail! Legit I fail so flipping much! I want you all to know I appreciate your comments and I will respond! Hopefully before the New Year! Seriously while I have not been as engaging (and I hope to change that!) I seriously appreciate every single one of you who have still read and comment don my posts. You guys are the best!
Not making excuses at all but there is something about not being in my own routine that throws me off. I really need to be better about creating time instead of blogging whenever I have a hot second when I am away. That said, it is definitely time for another If We Were Having Coffee. I am sadly transitioning to hot coffee. As much as I love cold brew and it is life and sustenance itself, the temps are finally beginning to fall (though it is suppose to get hot again) and that means hot coffee again!
While I love a caramel macchiato (Starbucks version) or a caramel latte, I also love just a plain latte or cafe au last. It is all about the milk and foam guys! An to be totally honest…The latte art.
If we were having coffee… As sad as I am to see summer end, I am actually ready for a bit more fall. Or at least the cooler temps. I posted about Naketano a couple days ago, and I admit I have been pushing wearing their hoodies because they are SO cozy!
I also got some new booties. Which is a miracle because I have been on the hunt for booties for the last three years and I finally (finally!) found the perfect ones. Oh happy days! yay!
If we were having coffee… Last, Sunday I saw the very last show of Gettin’ The Band Back Together. It was beyond amazing and I am so sad such a poignantly hilarious show closed. As sad as it was, it was such a special night. The cast was interactive even more then usual (it is a show that uses the whole theatre and is interactive anyway) and the audience was so appreciative.
I was screaming and clapping through out that I even lost my voice! I also had amazing seats! Usually I sit in mezzanine, but this time I was right up front in orchestra. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I am so happy that I got to witness it. It is a show that closed way to soon, but rumor has it the cast recording is being released NEXT week! Guys get on that!
If we were having coffee… September has truly been a transitional month. It was bittersweet saying goodbye to my fam. Shortly after I left, my dad had to have surgery again. I really hope this is the last one! Thankfully he is being a much better patient this time around! My neice is making sure of that! The relationship these two have hurts my heart!
September is also a huge birthday month for my fam. Including my youngest nephew and neice. I can not believe how big they are getting! I wish I could freeze time!
If we were having coffee… I feel like I have grown so much and reached a better understanding with myself and with relationships. The last few months were challenging and as I had alluded to in past posts, I had been dealing with a ton of drama back home. What I didn’t say was my brother’s now ex-girlfriend was the cause of it. For the last year and a half she had been bullying me and it erupted this past April when I had finally had enough.
It seems ridiculous to say, that as an adult, I was being bullied, but it does happen. Inappropriate snapchats, text messages, and finally spreading rumors and talking shit about someone IS bullying.
No matter what is going on in our lives, we have a responsibility to be kind and to treat people with respect. Even if we don’t necessarily like them. We have no idea what high school-esque drama can do and cause to a person. I am so thankful for my friends who stuck by me and listened to me vent and even cry, not just over drinsk, but especially coffee. Be kind💗
If we were having coffee… Okay you are all gonna think I am cray-cray, but I am kinda getting excited for Christmas. I know, I know, it is September, BUT there is only a month (and some change) until Hallmark starts their Christmas movies! I KNOW I am not the only one excited about this. (Right Britt?) It isn’t just the Hallmark Christmas movies, but skating in Bryant Park and of course Dyker Heights! I can not wait!
If we were having coffee… I am revamping the blog AND I got a new computer. Somehow those things well ptogether…Right?!?! I also am obsessed with my new case which is a blush pink and matches all my accessories.
BUT just as I was getting to publish this, my computer crashed. So if we were having coffee I would probably have had to cancel because I have been running back and forth trying to get it fixed. It figures that it would happen a day after the new iPhone launch. (Even the Apple guy mentioned that) fingers and positive vibes it gets fixed ASAP!
If we were having coffee… I am so excited to be going away next week for a brand new adventure! I honestly have no idea what to expect, because it isn’t the ocean. Usually I only travel to places with the ocean, (I grew up landlocked, and while I love rivers and lakes PLEASE gimme waves and endless horizons!) but I am super excited for this adventure!

I’m so excited about this post!! I love all your posts- but the If We Were Having Coffees are always special <3 Café au laits are my favorite!! Sometimes lattes alone can be too much milk for my liking, but the rice amount of nice foamy milk on top I am ALL about!
Fun fact- I used to be a barista- and I nailed a couple latte designs back in the day ! I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I know you’ll appreciate that tid bit 😉

I am so so so sorry you had that horrible drama- that makes me angry! My hair is standing up, and I am in DEFENSE mode. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that someone would have it out for you- Mind. Boggling. Ugh, I wish I could give you a big hug! But you are soo right- these types of situations bring to life the people that are important. I always say that phrase “those that matter don’t mind and those that mind don’t matter”. Carve out that toxicity- gooood bye! You’re too wonderful to have to deal with any of that <3

Bullying is so childish and it says more about the people that do it than it says about you. I’m so sorry to hear you were bullied by someone relatively close to you, it makes it more difficult. I was bullied by my ex-boyfriend’s mother back in April and it was actually what broke us up (in case you haven’t read my breakup post) and my ex just let it happen and dropped me like a sack of shit. This may sound horrible but in a way she’s bullying him too because he’s not brave enough to stand up to her and call her out and do what will make him happy.

Erm what!? I’m sorry to hear your brothers ex was making your life such a drama! Girl wtf! I don’t want to sound mean or anything but I’m so glad she’s an ex!! I am totally not here for her bullying you!!!! It is so exciting that it’s fall and I’m ready for all the chilly weather! I’m also starting to get excited for Christmas, haha. It’s the best time of the year and always goes by too fast so I have no shame in saying that I love when stores start coming out with Christmas things.
Also, good for you standing up for yourself. Adults can be bullies (and bullied) just as much as children and in much deeper ways. It’s toxic and it’s important to remember that everyone has the right to be treated with respect as a person and as another human being. Family drama like that is always a struggle, but I’m glad it seems like it’s clearing up a bit for you. <3
Love this and hopefully the next ones will be more confident and that I will be more aware of the relationship dynamics occurring in our family. Love you munchkin past all the numbers.❤️
