Let Us Be United

The devastation I first felt and continue to feel this morning is indescribable as I turned on the news expecting weather and kittens and instead discovered another attack had occurred, this time in Brussels.

Once again people were doing everyday things. Grabbing their coffee fix before traveling. Waiting to greet loved ones. Living life.

Doing what most of us do on a daily bases.

In the days after September 11, a Rig Veda Prayer was turned into a song. Sang by Ann Hampton Calloway and the Siddha Yoga Vedic Choir, the words speak a simple truth.

In the world we seem to live in today, I keep coming back to it time and time again. Hopefully someday soon it will come to fruition.

Let Us Be United

Let us be united;
Let us speak in harmony;
Let our minds apprehend alike.
Common be our prayer,
Common be the end of our assembly;
Common be our resolution;
Common be our deliberations.
Alike be our feelings;
Unified be our hearts;
Common be our intentions;
Perfect be our unity
