Lush Obsessions: Bath Time

“Skincare is incredibly important. I try to look after my skin as much as possible because I’m always inspired by women who age gracefully and naturally.” ~ Emilia Wickstead

I have a Problem

Guys I have a problem and it is called Lush. Legit I have been spending way to much time AND money at Lush. I need to go to Lush Lovers Anonymous. I need an intervention. I NEED help!

Okay I am being a touch dramatic, but I admit my piggy bank is bleeding dry by my addiction.D54D3A6D-629A-4CDF-A454-A9AD3929BC5E

I mean how can you not have a Lush addiction? Their products are amazing! Not just their bath bombs, which is what drew me to them in the first place, but their gels, face masks, soaps, and lotions, are so luxurious and pampering. Also as I have mentioned before, they are cruelty free and ALL natural. Great for the environment AND animals? Win-win guys!

I recently went on a Lush splurge. Several times in ONE week. It isn’t hard to do when there is a store FIVE blocks from my apartment. It is like a billboard putting peer pressure on me to go buy! “Just say no” does NOT cut it!

Avobomb

Of course I couldn’t go to Lush and NOT get some bath bombs. This might be my new favorite bath bomb and to be honest, I did NOT think I would like it as much as I did.

I admit I have an avacado addiction. How can you not? It is one of the yummiest foods on this planet! AND it is good for you! That said, I am not a huge fan of avocado based products. Leave it to Lush to win me over.

This bath bomb has a citrusy lemongrass scent that I would love if they bottled up into perfume. It immediately turned my water a beautiful vibrant green and continued to fizz for quite awhile. It left my skin feeling soft for several days and left a subtle silver sparkle on my skin.

Cheer Up Buttercup

This might be a close second favorite. This little bath bomb might be tiny (and cheaper then the others) but lordy does it pack a deliciously luxuriously citrusy (how many Ys can I use?) whammy!

While the color can be off putting, turning the water yellow, despite a pink core, the smell is divine. Another citrus scent full of lemon and lime to put that pep in your step and live up to its name. Despite its size, it fizzes for longer then you would think and leaves my skin ridiculously soft. In true Lush fashion this also has a subtle sparkle, making it perfect to energize you before a night out!

Twilight

I am not a huge fan of floral scents, but Twilight won me over with its subtle but calming lavender scented bath bomb which is perfect to use before bed. This is also a true party in the tub. 6E4993AD-B457-4E58-845D-77BE3CE82DAA

It fizzes for quite a while creating a water color like painting on the water of swirling shades of blue and pink mixed with glitter eventually leaving the water a pretty purple. I loved the look of it and that it left my skin so soft.

French Kiss

I have never tried a bubble bar and decided to give French Kiss a try. It had hints of lavender and rosemary, and was so pretty to look at. You can use the whole bar which would make Mr. Bubble’s proud or break it up and get multiple uses which is what I did, and my tub still had a ton of bubbles in it.

While I didn’t hate the experience, and wouldn’t knock it as a gift, to buy again for myself  makes my practical side squirm. It didn’t leave my skin soft, and while the color and bubbles were fun to play with, their really was no pizazz to it. I had read in the reviews that for a truly decadent experience you can pair it with a bath bomb like Twilight, which I would definitely recommend.

Sandstone

I have been a huge fan of Lush’s soaps since I discovered the company years ago. They are perfect to take traveling as they are a solid and many of their soaps have dual purposes. I think it has been established I love me some citrusy scents. There is nothing more refreshing nor invigorating then lemon or lime and sandstone has that in spades. Because of the sand, it is a great exfoliant. It also lathers very quickly with water leaving me not only clean, but also like I just spent the day in the Carribbean!

Scrubbee

My one complaint about Lush products is that they make me SO flipping hungry! Made of coca butter, honey, ground almond and coconut shells, Scrubbee is not only exfoliates and moisturizes, but it smells SO flipping good! It leaves your skin feeling so soft, you don’t have to use lotion afterwards, and the scent lingers leaving you smelling nice as well.

Golden Handshake

When I was in San Diego, my hand got burned rather badly. I needed something to give them some TLC and on a whim I picked up this hand mask made of cocoa butter. Boy did it moisturize! It takes some work melting it, but once you reach the paste like consistency to sink your hands into, it feels amazing. It softened and moisturized my hands instantly, smelled divine and even left them with a golden shine thanks to the gold glitter flecks in it.

  1. Ooh yes girl a Lush post! My favourite! First of all I’ve never tried Avocado before! Is that bad? But that bath bomb sounds super cute, I’ve actually not tried it or seen it in stores before but I’m going to keep an eye out for it now because I am loving the sound of it! Twilight is one of my favourite bath bombs of all time! Love that one. And I love bubble bars! But I haven’t tried the French Kiss one though I’ve seen it in stores and considered it a few times, but I’m not sure I’ll try it. The Comforter is my favourite bubble bar if you’d like to try another. It smells of blackcurrant! That hand mask sounds really cool too, I’ve never tried a hand mask before. Great post hun! X

  2. I love Lush! I bought my first bubble bar yesterday, I haven’t used it yet but I’m planning to soon. I love the Cheer Up Buttercup bath bomb! It’s so citrusy.
I need to pick up that Avobomb and Scrubbee bar next time I’m out shopping, they sound amazing.

  3. I’m a sucker for bath bombs! It’s been so hot that I haven’t had a bath in ages, but this post has me like running upstairs to my bath taps lol. I love the look of that Avobomb – the colour is amazing! x

  4. I have heard all about Lush, but I have never tried it! I absolutely love that they are all-natural and cruelty-free though! Next time I’m in a bigger city with a Lush store, I should try something!

  5. That avobomb is soooo pretty! We’re opposites on our avocado opinions though. Haha I love products made with it but can’t stand the taste of them! I love bubble bars! That French Kiss is so cute, how unfortunate it didn’t moisturize your skin so much though!!
