Merry Christmas
The most Merriest of Merry Christmases my dear friends. I don’t know how, but we made it through the holiday season and even more of a miracle, Blogmas. Not gonna lie some days were touch and go, especially the last week or so but here we are! I am sad to see it end.
Despite the stress this season can bring, it is always so joyful and festive. I love the traditions, the reunions and just the human connections that can get lost throughout the year, yet Christmas seems to reunite us all. Christmas is the one time even adults can regain some youthful innocence and celebrate our inner child.
From spending way to much time in front of the television watching Hallmark movies, to finding the perfect gift for my loved ones, to doing all of the Christmas things with my nephews and niece, to wrapping, drinking ALL the Starbucks holiday beverages to Blogmas, it has been a special season. It hasn’t always been easy, but those stressful times are what makes me appreciate today so much more.
As much as I don’t want it to end, I remind myself of the movie with Erik Von Detten, “Christmas Every Day.” While it would be nice if it was every day, I would eventually get sick of it, (shocking I know!) thus, I will attempt to wait patiently (key word attempt) the next 365 days (though really more like 300 days) for the season and all its cheer to begin again. Until then, I will try my very best to hold the lessons of the holiday and honor and cherish those who make my life so much better and richer.
