Merry Christmas 2021!

“So just keep kissing me under the mistletoe
Pour out the wine, let’s toast and pray for December snow
I know there’s been pain this year, but it’s time to let it go
Next year, you never know
But for now, Merry Christmas” ~ Merry Christmas Ed Sheeran

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Friends! It is here! It is finally here! Though honestly I am a little sad, because I don’t want the season to end. I feel like we plan and get so excited for ONE day when really it is a whole season to enjoy, and I have enjoyed it this season! It has been hectic, and crazy with work, but it has also been amazing, and fulfilling, and filled with so much joy. I really couldn’t have asked for a better holiday season!

It is so funny because as a child, I lived for Christmas Day and seeing what Santa brought us, but as an adult it is the preparation, the traditions, the sitting and savoring of each moment, because it really does go by so quickly. It is spending time with family, and yes there are presents, but as cliche as it sounds, I adore gifting presents. Picking out unique gifts that they may not necessarily buy themselves (which is incredibly hard in this day and age) but will love when they open them. It is seeing the expressions on their face and the excitement from kids who still believe and the childlike exuberance from adults, who let themselves get swept up in the magic of the season.

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year as Andy William’s sings. Because for a time all is right with the world, and even on the darkest days of the year there is light and hope. And with the last couple of years I feel like we need that more than ever. Which is also why the lyrics from the song I shared is so perfect. There is always hope friends. Christmas shows that!

I hope you all have an amazing day, filled with all the joy and love of the season culminating into today!

  2. Absolutely agree it is a season which doesn’t end on the 25th but technically sometime around Jan.15th or in the old church Candlemas on Feb.2. Loved all of the blogmas posts!
