Put a Quote in your Step Monday

You have probably noticed, I start most of my posts with quotes. Quotes have a way of shaping my life, even my day. I have a chalk board in my apartment above my bed where I wrote my favorite most inspirational quotes on. Each morning when I wake up, I see them and it gives me the right mind set to begin my day. Below are just a handful of some of mine:

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear. Nelson Mandela

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. ~  Headstone in Ireland

“Sometimes we are lucky enough to know that our lives have been changed, to discard the old, embrace the new, and run headlong down an immutable course. It happened to me … on that summer’s day, when my eyes were opened to the sea.” ~ Jacques Yves Cousteau, Oceanographer

“The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the imagination and brings eternal joy to the soul.” ~ Wyland, Marine Life Artist

I must be a mermaid. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.” ~ Anais Nin.

For there is no friend like a sister in calm or stormy weather; To cheer one on the tedious way, to fetch one if one goes astray, to lift one if one totters down, to strengthen whilst one stands. ~Christina Rossetti

Those we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity. ~ Terri Guillemets

Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart. ~ Rumi
