I am a self confessed beach addict, coffee junkie, and fashionista.
But I own it all and refuse to receive treatment for any of it.
I have had many blogs on a variety of forums, including LiveJournal -remember Livejournal? No? Alright I’ll stop dating myself- WordPress has been one of them, though it hasn’t gotten the love it deserves (sorry WordPress) which is shocking because it is much easier to use then BlogSpot (where I also have a blog…I know I know I need to stop!)
But I promise two things. First and foremost I am finally devoting the attention to WordPress and I promise this is the last blog I will create.
Why? You might ask because I am combining all of my loves into one (the great thing about WordPress is you can have many categories which fits my Gemini personality) which is THIS blog. Ankhor You. K intended and no I am not trying to channel the Kardashians.
Now about me:
A friend called me a Modern Day Renaissance Women a couple years ago and it has stuck ever since. I even put it as my job title on EHarmony and Facebook, though have yet to try it with employers. I am that. I am a chef, writer, yoga instructor, student, figure skater/coach, linguist, fashionista and most of all Mermaid junkie. Though that last one competes with being a coffee junkie connoisseur.
I am a Manhattanite who loves her mountains in New Hampshire, and dreams of drinking wine on the Seine. I am a true Gemini, in I am very dynamic with my hand in every cookie jar, sometimes contradicting each other. But then, that is why I am a modern day Renaissance woman.
It is also why I created this blog. it for the woman (or man) who has a varied interest in many things. Who likes to laugh and cry. Go on adventures and snuggle down with a movie. Have days where being fashionable is important and others where you just want to run around in sweat pants. Where dating stories are just as important as life events, and the gossip of the day is just as important as politics – and sometimes the two even collide.
Ankhor You is where the dualities of a country gal and city gal meet. It is steady, yet creative. Peaceful, yet strong enough to stand anything. Loving but fierce, Like me, this blog will channel what an anchor truly is.
I hope you enjoy it. Happy Reading!
Love and gratitude,
Kate
