All The Lush
Okay maybe this post is still invoking a little to much Christmas especially since we are closing out January, BUT guys it WAS the season for Lush. This past Christmas I got ALL the Lush I could ask for and more! I mean it was only fitting since I gave my friends Lush goodies. But to receive Lush treats myself was the best. I am going to be smelling delicious and my skin is going to be soft and shimmery for months thanks to my friends and family who know how to feed an obsession!
Nothing is better to escape this bitter cold then to have a luxurious bath.
I got a ton of Bath bombs, which is perfect because aside from a few Valentine’s Day purchases (because I have to) I am set for months.
Shoot For the Stars
Because Santa knows me best, I got the special holiday edition of Shoot for the Stars which just might be my favorite bath bomb. (move aside Khaleesi Dragon’s Egg) It turns the water a gorgeous blue, and not only leaves my skin soft, but shimmery to boot! I also adore the soft yet energizing citrus smell.
Perle Del Sel
I admit, I wasn’t sure how I felt about this bath bomb. The scent was over poweringly floral, which I am not a huge fan of. I much prefer the citrusy, and creamy scents to the sickly sweet floral ones.
I think part of the problem, was that it mixed with the other bath bombs and together it was an au due proof of popurri.
By itself it was much more subtle and peasant and I fell in love with this bath bomb. It not only turned the water a gorgeous turquoise, but it had actual salt that soothed my muscles and left my skin soft. It also had the prettiest shimmer. I wish I had tried this earlier in the season, because as part of their holiday collection it is now sold out until hopefully next year!
Golden Wonder Bath Bomb
Guys this was the MOTHER of all bath bombs. I wasn’t sure what to expect but like any beautifully wrapped package, you never know what is underneath. It could be a hit or miss present and this was a hit! The scent wasn’t overpowering when you smelled it. At first I thought it would be similar to the Yog Nog Yule Log Bath Bar, nope it also packed a punch of citrusy goodness as well as took my bath and me on a beautiful vibrant ride of beautiful colors. Not to mention ALL the glitter! I hope they bring this one back next year because I WILL be stocking up!
ButterBear
This bath bomb might be tiny, but it proves that good things come in all packages. While it doesn’t have the theatrical flare of Shooting Star, it does give the bather a more meditative feel which sometimes we need. The soothing coconut butter left my skin feeling soft and I really did feel like I was being hugged in the water.
Cheery Christmas Bath Bomb
I admit I wasn’t sure how I felt of this bath bomb at first. The scent, like Perle Del Sea is overpowering, but once you Boomerang it into the tub, it becomes a much more subtle berry smell. I truly felt like I was at a show with the blue shooting out of the center as it fizzed away. It left the tub a beautiful marbled color, and did take me on a ride. I still haven’t decided how I feel about the scent, but I did enjoy the colorful show.
Green Coconut
I have written about this bath bomb before. It is one of my favs with the tropical smell transporting me to a Caribbean island even if it is the middle of January. Because it is one of the jelly bath bombs, it leaves the skin extra moisturized which you need especially with the cold.
Over and Over
Another show stopper Bath Bomb. I thought it was just the traditional orange and yellow until out of no where came bright pink creating a dazzling show. I loved the citrusy scent. My only complaint was a bit of shimmer would have made it truly the bath bomb to beat!
Big Blue
My bestie gave me this bath bomb, and it is one of my favs. As a mermaid (in my past life) it transports me home with the beachy scent and exfoliating seaweed. My own complaint is it does take some effort to clean up the seaweed. But it is worth it when you feel like you are in the middle of the ocean when it is so cold out!
Ocean Salt
This scrub is one of my favorites. Salt soothes as well as exfoliates and I love the seaside smell which pairs well with Big Blue.
Yog Nog Yule Log Bubble Bar
I LOVED this Bubble Bar. I had actually bought it for my friends, so I was absolutely giddy when Santa gifted it to me. I admit I usually feel like bubble bars are a luxury. I don’t normally buy them for myself, but I might have to make an exception for this one. The vanilla and caramel scent alone is enough to win me over, and I do feel like it leaves my skin softer, with a bit of a glimmer. Because of the size, you can get multiple uses out of their bubble bars and a little does go a long bubbly way.
Christmas Citrus Soap
It is no secret I LOVE citrus scents and this soap is citrus on steroids with a blend of both lemon and lime. Shaped like a holly leaf, the neon color gives an extraterrestrial vibe, especially with the sting of contrasting soap embedded into the bar. It is the perfect way-up call when you haven’t had a cup of coffee yet.
Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner
I was not a huge fan of this product. While I love a bit of shimmer, this bar body conditioner left me AND my bathroom AND my apartment looking like it had been dropped on the Vegas Strip. While I love glitter it was a little to much for my tastes. I was also not a fan of the scent which was way to florally and not enough creamy for me, which was what I was expecting. The only plus side is it did leave my skin soft and silky, if not a little to heavy.
Sugar Plum Fairy
This scrub was one of my favorites. An eco friendly scrub that is package free, the scent was subtle and the scrub sloughed away my wintery dry skin making it soft and smooth.
Self-love
I got so many goodies and I love that I have been able to give myself some TLC especially since last week was not the easiest mentally. It is important to take a moment and do something that makes you feel happy and cared for. For me Lush is one easy way I can do that after a long day.
Did you get any Lush for the holidays? What is your favorite Lush product? How do you give yourself some self-love?
Giiiirrrrllllllllllllll! You know I love a good bath bomb/bubble bar and thanks to a precious little birdie named Kate, I have been spoiled rotten! Some of my favorites are Intergalactic, Cheer Me Up Buttercup, Sex Bomb, The Comforter & Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds. <3 <3
Love all your lush bath bombs sweetie. You should check out my December winter and holiday faves video that’s on my site. I show a lot of yummy bath products too I know you’d love. Big hugs!!! ♥️♥️
Hey beauty! Reading this whilst taking a LUSH bubble bath (using the Aubergine bomb 🍆) how fitting! Firstly I love the style of this post, the whole format of it is perfect. The pictures, the writing, the reviews, it’s all great. You go superstar. I really like the sound of the Green Coconut jelly bomb, even though I’ve never heard of it before! I thought I knew all Lush products, so I’ll have to keep an eye out now on my next trip. Thanks for the inspiration, and you’re right, jelly bombs are actually perfect for Winter because they do give that added moisture, I’ve never thought about it like that before. I loved Cheery Christmas, but then again I do like a strong (fruity) scent. I hope you’re okay lovely, pop me a message if you need to talk (I know we can both be slow repliers 😂😭), I agree. Lush baths / pampering are my favourite way to give myself some TLC! Lot’s of love to you beauty ❤️ I hope this week is better for you!
Oh, how I envy you for having a bathtub! 🙂 So happy to see you pampering yourself a bit. xx
