Wanderlusting Through 2017 In Pictures

“I see my path, but I don’t know where it leads. Not knowing where I’m going is what inspires me to travel it.” ~ Rosalia de Castro

2017 Memories

Bare with me because I am about to get disgustingly nostalgic, as I take a trip down memory picture lane. What a year it has been. It has had its ups and downs, but very definitely mostly all ups. By now you have seen the Best of Nine on Instagram, and seeing mine makes me insanely giddy.

4FAF1CDA-E11A-4642-A42F-8BDBF004E5AF2017 was the year I channeled my inner jetsetting blonde self and did a boatload of traveling. In the process, I discovered so much more about myself and what direction I want to head in. Hint: More jetsetting. Like WAY more!

I met some amazing people, especially fellow bloggers who became life long friends. (Told you this would be sappy!) And went on some incredible trips, with some of my nearest and dearest, which only reinforced our friendships and made for some stunning memories.

I not only channeled my inner Giselle Bundchun, but also Annie Leibovitz, working both behind and in front of the camera, documenting many of my adventures through not just words, but photography. It is only fitting then to share some of my favorite snaps, from some of the places I visited in 2017.

San Francisco

This trip was really the first one I had taken in years, that was for fun. Usually I am traveling for an occasion or event. While, I went with my best friend and fellow jetsetting blonde Sarah and we stayed with my aunt, it was pure care freeness with no responsibilities. We took San Francisco by storm, and had an absolute blast doing it. It reminded me not just why I love traveling,  hot why I love San Francisco so much. It was a trip that both inspired and reinvigorated me. I also got to meet fellow blogger Mack, which was really one of the highlights of the trip!

Montreal

I went to Montreal for my friend’s bachelorette. It was a whirlwind weekend, yet so incredibly fun to explore a city that literally took me back to my France days, and made me miss it with a passion.

Mt. Desert Island

I actually visited twice this year, and both times were soul food for my mermaid heart. My best friend lives here and I utterly adored spending time with her and exploring her stunning island. The combination of mountains, ocean, and amazing people was just what I needed.

Philadelphia

Philly was another whirlwind weekend trip. I had been to Old City before, but hadn’t ventured to any other parts. It was fun to finally experience other aspects of this beautifully historical city. And with the magic of the old, it was the perfect place to hone my photography skills, and I took some of my favorite photographs of the year.

Humarock

I go every year to this beautiful beach located on the South Shore of Massachusetts and this year, I ended up taking some of my favorite photographs. (including the cover photo for this blog) It was one of the most incredibly perfect mornings, with just me the sunrise and the ocean.

Georgia

The last major trip I took this year was to Georgia, a place I had never been to, but incredibly excited to explore with my best friend. Words, nor even pictures, do it justice at how magical it was. The natural beauty, Southern hospitality, and simplicity of Island life won me over.

2018

I am not one for resolutions, but one I can say with absolute certainty, is that 2018 is going to bring more wanderlusting. My jetsetting heart is soaring to travel back to old friends as well as discover new ones. Travel not only takes us out of our comfort zone, but connects us to a whole new beautiful world and in the process we find our true self.

I literally fell in love with Georgia it is stunning! SO I was in Savannah for a hot second, then spent a night in Tybee at the cutest bed and breakfast, and then travelled to Jekyll Island, where we stayed there, but left to explore Saint Simons. 5. So great to see all the places you travelled to in 2017!
San Francisco is such a great place – I’d love to go back one of these days.
And ooh you came to Canada – to Montreal! It has such a European feel, doesn’t it? (I live in Toronto, by the way)
2017 was an anomaly for us, as we didn’t travel outside of Canada. But, I did love our trip out to the Canadian Rockies – for a city gal like me, it was like being on another planet!
    Happy New Year!

    1. It was so much fun (and a little nostalgic) compiling this!
I LOVE San Fran! It was the second time I have been and ahhh I loved it even more then the first time!

I love Toronto! I was there for a hot second, but really want to go back!
      The Canadian Rockies sounds stunning!
Happy new Year beauty! I hope you get to do a lot more traveling this year! <3
