Fall Fashion
Guys it finally FINALLY feels like Fall. (okay I am getting ahead of myself because it went back to the eighties this week, but beggars can not be choosers and I am definitely not going to be choosy!) For a single DAY it felt like Fall.
// Dress and necklace: Anthropologie // Jacket: H&M // Scarf: LuluLemon// Boots: American Rag // Bag: (Not pictured) Lousi Vuitton // Cuff: Light House Studio Designs//
When I went Apple Picking last week the weather was positively perfect to start rocking out some fall clothes! The weather was cool and it started off rainy. I admit I almost (for a hot second) thought about wearing wedges, but when apple picking, you really do want boots. (not going to lie I have apple picked in heels because Basic Ballin’.)
The Dress
This dress is everything that is trendy and almost everything I am not. When I first saw it I was oddly drawn to it. I loved the lace. I loved the blue. I even loved the plaid. Yet all of it together screamed Laura Ingalls Wilder and I was NOT sure how I felt about THAT comparison, though one of my own making.
FYI: I HATED those books. With my very being.
Thus I did not want to LOOK like her, yet with a sale and additional discount from Anthropologie (Yes it is Anthropologie…Did you REALLY expect anything different?) screaming out to me, and in need of some more fall-ish dresses, I thought why the heck not. I can always return it.
Thus I ordered it.
And fell in love. Laura Ingalls Wilder it is NOT!
The details
For me I am such a details girl. It is ALL about the details that will win me over or lose me forever with clothing. It is part of the reason why I love Anthropologie so much. They take basic staple pieces and give them those tiny details that make them pop from the pack.
This dress is no different.
With a wide square neck color it has buttons in the front to give it a bit of a v-shape. The sleeves are blouson like with lace at the elbows. The plaid, which is very in right now, has neutral colors without being garish, which plaid can some times be. While the skirt, accented with lace, is full, the over all dress is quite fitted accentuating all the right places and not making me look like a stepped out of a u-haul and need to be unloaded.
Styling it
Perfect for any activities, I threw on my knee high boots that are a staple in my wardrobe during the colder months. I actually ordered another pair from Macy’s (and they just so happen to be on sale) because they are so comfy while still fashionable. Because it started out chilly, I added my leather jacket and a blanket scarf.
I kept my jewelry simple, opting for a long black necklace from Anthro, hoop earrings, and my Light House Studio Design Cuff.
I could not be happier or more satisfied with how this turned out. While I am definitely a boho chic kind of girl, this was outside my comfort level. But I loved it. It screams fall while still edgy and casual.
What do you think of the look? Are you a fan of plaid this season? What is your go to Fall look?
I’ve never been Apple picking before! I really like your outfit! I love your dress! It’s so pretty xx
Awe thank you so much sweets! I hope you get to go apple picking sometime soon! It is so much fun! <3

Awe thanks so much sweets! You are the best! I hope you get to go apple picking some time! It is so much fun! <3
Girl you know I love it and I would 1000% wear it as well. I love your Laura Ingalls Wilder shout out/reference lol Before I even got to reading this I was like I’m gonna bet that this is an Anthropologie dress. #knewit I am obsessive over plaid this season. I’ve always liked it, never really wore it but this year I’m like gathering as many plaid tops I can possibly find. They’re just too dark cute and warm when its a flannel like material! My favorite look for the fall right now is def the plaid and denim!!! I’m loving denim tops and dresses so much. xoxoxox
Hehe I am so happy you appreciate that shout out! LOL. I have no idea WHAT would have made you think it was Anthropologie. I mean I am not an #anthroaddict or anything ;p
I am the same way. I have had a love hate relationship (growing up in the mountains of NH will do that to you ;p ) but I am obsessed with the color combos this season! They are! Yes girl yes! I love it too! And I am obsessed with your denim dress! So cute! <3
At least you guys have SOME foliage lol
