Dress Obsessed
Hello friends! Not only is it the third day of Spring, but it is also DRESS Season friends! While I rock dresses year round, I live for the days where I can pack my tights and leggings away, and NOT freeze, because I went out bare legged in thirty degree weather. (because let’s face it tights are uncomfortable and don’t really offer that much warmth!) You could even say I am dressed obsessed! I love a great dress, if you couldn’t tell with my ode to National Dress Day a couple weeks ago, and I count the days for when brands like Pink Lily and Lulu’s release their spring/summer dress collections, though my bank account cries.

They have some amazing styles this year, and I admit to coveting them all! By far my favorite styles are maxis, though I do love a good midi, which usually looks like a maxi on me anyway, so really I just love a great maxi and also #shortgirlproblems. Admittedly, I have not been a huge fan of where the fashion trends are taking us the last couple years, (it is to soon for nineties friends WAY to soon) that being said, designers are killing the dress game and I am here for it! The cut-outs, the flowy skirts, the flirty styles, feminine florals, and all the pale pinks and sages, yes please! While I do love versatility, I also love dresses that have unique details which make them stand out and while I did have to restrain myself, all of these dresses certainly have that.

When it comes to styling, I typically stick with my basics; a denim jacket, a Panama hat, and my Yaro Block heels from Sam Edelman, which are a great investment shoe and by far my most comfortable heel I own. I also stuck with jewelry from Sewcialite NH and Dune Jewelry keeping it true to form with the nautical brands. I did switch my shoes up with these gorgeous bow stilettos from Lulu’s for a couple of the dresses. And I am wearing a medium in all the styles.

My Darling Love Sage Three-Quarter Sleeve Handkerchief Dress
First up is a dress that went outside my comfort zone. I did not think I would love this dress from Lulu’s as much as I do! It is definitely one of the trendier pieces I got this season, but a style I tend to stay away from. I thought it was a little to House on the Prairie but it proved me wrong! Similar to the Nap dresses that are all the rage right now, it is actually insanely flattering! Unlike the sleeves on the Nap Dress, this dress has longer billowy ones that are quite flattering. I love the midi length and the skirt is so flowy and feminine. I also adore the sweetheart neckline which is anther trend of 2022. It will be perfect to rock from spring to summer, and just might be a contender for Easter! It comes in three colors, but the sage is by far my favorite.

All I Ever Asked Dressed
This might be my favorite dress of the bunch. And I only say that because the accessories like this Lily Pulitzer inspired clutch from Sewcialite really elevates it. But this dress from Pink Lily is truly divine and perfect for a wedding, or a garden party or just because! The cut out details are incredibly flattering the still being trendy and I love the coral color. The skirt is long and flowy and it is lightweight enough that you wont get hot with the longer sleeve. I felt like a princess in this dress and I am so excited to rock it all season long. It also comes in white which is perfect for a bride or just because.

Fancy You Cream Floral Print Tie-Back Long Sleeve Mini Dress
This dress from Lulu’s is another style that goes outside my comfort zone, but I ended up falling in LOVE with it! It is so flirty and so fun as well as being trendy with the cut outs. I love a good cut out, but I admit I was a little nervous about the length of this dress. I typically shy away from mini’s because despite being petite, I am curvy and somehow mini dresses always seem so short on me. I needn’t worry with this dress, it is slightly longer in the back, so no Marilyn moments! It has cut outs in the front and ties in the back so you can adjust it. I love the delicate floral pattern and sweetheart neckline. It is the perfect summer dress or night out on the town.

My Dearest Darling
I did not think I would love this dress as much as I do. Pink Lily has carried a version of this style for years, and I finally decided to splurge and see what the fuss was about. I am glad I did! I felt so chic and ethereal in it. It is insanely flattering with the wrap detail while not being overwhelming with the flowy skirt which also has to slits so you really do feel like you are always walking a cat walk. This comes in six different patterns but the cerulean blue floral is by far my favorite. It is another contender for Easter or a shower or wedding.

All About Love Pink Floral Print Midi Dress
I honestly wasn’t sure how I felt about this dress from Lulu’s with the pinstripe pattern underneath the floral. Admittedly I am not a pattern girl (even though I seem to have gotten nothing but, this season) yet I love how that stripes make the florals stand out. While it is a basic spaghetti strap dress, which has adjustable straps, the satin material instantly dresses it up making it perfect for a wedding or even Easter. While it is more form fitting, it is still flattering and has a slit that gives it the movement I love in dresses so much.

Cause to Celebrate White and Gold Dot Ruffled Tiered Midi Dress
I love how flirty this dress from Lulu’s is, while still being incredibly dressy. It is also unique, but also versatile, all things I love in a dress! I love anything polka dot and I love they switched it up making the dots a shimmery gold. The dress has fluttery sleeves, a subtle ruffle at the bottom with a side slit, but the true star is the cut out back detail that also ties. It does come in three other colors, but I am obsessed with the white which is perfect for Easter or for a Bride to be.
