“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” ~ Coco Chanel

Farm Rio
Hello, Hello friends! We are firmly entrenched in the swing of summer and I thought I would share one of my favorite and most summery brands out there. Shockingly, it is NOT Lilly Pulitzer (But I’ll be sharing them as well!), but another great brand I have shared before, Farm Rio. If Lilly Pulitzer is the Hamptons and Cape Code of summery fashion, then Farm Rio is the tropical Caribbean paradise of prints. Their clothes are so bright and cheerful, that you can’t help but have a better day when you wear them. Not to mention how exquisitely made everything is.
Farm Rio originated in Brazil in a small market stall in 1997 and it didn’t take long for not only Brazilians to fall in love with the vibrant happy prints that pay homage to nature, Brazilian culture, and exude joy, but also the rest of the world. One stall turned into a store, which has now become Brazils most recognizable print and they have stores and do collabs all around the world including Anthropologie. This is a brand that not only designs women’s clothing and supports women, but it also supports the eco-system. With every purchase they plant a tree in hope of reforesting rain forests that have faced extinction and deforestation. They have planted over a million trees, and they aren’t stopping there. You can’t beat a brand that makes gorgeous clothes AND gives back. Today I am sharing not one, but THREE dresses, that are be sure to elevate your summer. And they also happen to be on sale!
Mixed Painted Birds Maxi Dress
I kinda feel like a goddess in this dress. It isn’t just a maxi dress, but it IS a statement which I adore. I have gotten so many compliments wearing this. The longer, billowy length makes it perfect for a gala, yet the tropical print makes it perfect for those nights on the beach. I have styled it with a wrap, as well as blue and pink denim jackets and I love how it looks with all of them. It has a side zipper, and the straps are adjustable. The only thing that would make this dress better is if it had pockets, but I say that about every dress! This truly is a must for summer and the bonus is that it is currently on sale!
Orange Ombre forest Mini Dress
I adore this dress and wear it at least once a week. Despite the long sleeves, the linen material and short length (though not to short) keep it cool. I love how it cinches at the waist for a more fitted and customizable look. The tassel beads are such a fun detail, and the bright pattern is SO cheery. It always puts me in a great mood! This is a dress that I let do all the talking, and usually just style it with cork wedges and a nice colorful earring. I also have a feeling I can wear it into fall, by pairing it with some knee high boots or booties and a leather jacket.
Deserted Island Cut Out Dress
This dress is so much fun and especially perfect for those beach to bar, and resort nights. Or if you just want to feel like a sexy mermaid. I love the cut-outs at the side, and this dress also has beaded tassels. The best part of this dress though, is that it has pockets! Who does not love a dress with pockets! I also adore the flutter sleeves which are incredibly flattering. Technically, this dress was marketed as a cover-up, but I love to style it with my cork wedges and a denim jacket and rock it at night after a fun day at the beach! It is the ultimate feel good dress! All of Farm Rio’s clothes truly are designed to make you feel the best, most confident and sexiest you can feel and I love that!
Are you a fan of these bright colorful prints? What is a brand you love that gives back?
