“Your dresses should be tight enough to show you’re a woman and loose enough to show you’re a lady.” ~ Edith Head
Santa had mad styling skills this year. He brought me almost a whole entire outfit! Seriously! From a gorgeous off the shoulder dress to accessories the only thing that was missing was shoes and well I have plenty of those!
The first present I opened from Jolly ol’ Saint Nick, was a delicate yet bohemian off the shoulder silk dress from White House Black Market. It had blouson sleeves and a flattering drop waist. While the material had a stretchiness to keep it in place around the shoulders, it was a loose fit making movement much easier then other cold shoulder designs, I have worn. The neutral geometric pattern lended itself to being versatile with my wardrobe. I was in love!
// Dress & Belt: White House Black Market // Necklace: SeaMilligan Designs // Leggings: Lulu Lemon // Booties: Aldo //
The second gift I opened, was a matching belt, that could be worn with the dress also from White House Black Market. The wide band, created a flattering cinched look about the waist. It was a dusty grey color and that fit well with not just the dress, but my wardrobe as a whole. It has a tie closure with tassels at the end that also gives it versatility with tying it in the back or the front.
Last, but certainly the biggest surprise, was a necklace from SeaMilligan Designs. I didn’t even know that “Santa” knew how to use Etsy and I was most impressed with my Mom-Santa. I was definitely squealing when I saw the gift wrapping! With a uniquely shaped brown piece, accented with a tan tassel, different shades of pink tan, and wooden beads, it matched perfectly with my dress.
I decided to rock my new outfit on New Years Eve. Because it was the White Mountain’s I paired leggings and peep toed booties with the dress to create an edgy yet celebratory look. All in all I will definitely be rocking this outfit all winter and even into spring!
What do you think of the look? Did Santa gift you with any outfits this year?
