What DO I Wear!?!? The Oldie but Goodie Edition

“Style is a reflection of your attitude and your personality.” ~ Shawn Ashmore

Sometimes being a fashionista is hard. I kid kind of. But I will go through phases where I will have my staple go to outfit. It doesn’t matter if I hundreds of other outfits suited for the occasion. If I plan for the week or if I have packed multiple outfits. I don’t even care if it is taboo to recycle the same outfit. I end up wearing my staples over and over again. If nothing else at least the places are varied for the pictures for my blog.

My staple this Holiday season for a night out, and parties has been an oldie but goodie.

//Shirt: Free People // Jeans: White House Black Market// Necklace: SeaMilligan Designs//  Bracelet: Anthropologie// Heels: Stuart Weitzman//

Four years ago, I bought a shirt in an after Christmas sale from Free People. It was the perfect party shirt. With delicate sparkly lace creating an ethereal look as it cut out at the shoulders. I was channeling the cold shoulder trend before it was even considered cool. The same material created a draped overlay in the front. It was flowy, yet still fitted and chic. It had a deep v in front and a lace up v in back. I loved it.

At the time I only wore it a handful of times. I didn’t feel entirely confident in it, but I still kept it, donning it for eighties and nineties themed parties or when I went to the Culture Club in Manhattan. It wasn’t my staple go to, despite being black and glitzy and even a little bit unique.

On a whim, I packed it in my bag when I went to Vermont in December and boy am I obsessed with it now! Sometimes you not only need to be in the right mood for a shirt which boy am I! But you also have to find the right pairing.

It has became my staple dressy casual outfit for parties. I have been pairing it with my black ripped jeans and my black velvet peep toed stilettos truly channeling my inner New Yorker with all black. The end result is an edgy yet still posh look perfect for the chicest but also craziest festivities

It is a look I will be sure to be rocking all winter.

What do you think of the look? Do you have a shirt or outfit that you have rediscovered?

Love yours though I’m a total fan- its cute to go out and about in but also cute to just go shopping in! I also love the contrast of the black with your blonde hair, the contrast just makes you stand out!
