Baby it is getting cold outside
Hello, Hello friends! After being spoiled with glorious weather, and a much needed longer summer, I think it is FINALLY beginning to feel like winter. Alas all good things must come to an end. After all it is the most wonderful time of the year. As much as I hate the cold and winter, it is jacket season and I love a good jacket. In fact you could say I am jacket obsessed! I discovered the perfect jacket from Lululemon this past fall. It is such a great one.
The Softstreme Cinch-waist Jacket
Made of their newest Softstreme fabric, their new cinch-waist jacket is insanely soft. I legit can not stop touching it. (does that sound weird? but seriously it is!) I feel like I am wearing buttery soft leather, but no leather is involved in the making of this jacket, neither is butter. Not only is it soft, it is also incredibly chic and perfect to wear not just with work out clothes but also with every day wear. As the name says, it cinches at the waist creating an almost peplum look and has deep pockets which I love. It also has a high collar that fully zips, so it will keep you nice and warm. My only complaint is that there is no hood. At the same time, I feel like that would have made it more sporty, while this has a more elegant look to wear with every day clothes. It comes in several colors and they are releasing new ones every month!
How to Style
I snagged it in a sage green that was definitely outside my comfort zone, but ultimately I love it. It is such a departure, but the muted green in of itself almost acts like a neutral and you know how I love my neutrals! This jacket is so easy to style. As I mentioned, It doesn’t just have to be worn with work out wear, but can be worn with Spanx leggings and boots. OR you can go for the more sporty look with leggings and my favorite swift run leopard sneakers. It is so cozy and comfy yet still chic. I even wore it to a Broadway matinee, when I was running all over the city and unable to change. It is just that good! This jacket would also make an amazing gift this holiday season!
