“I love getting amazing jackets, because you can wear your pajamas underneath and everyone’s like, ‘Oh, fabulous jacket,’ and I’m like, ‘You should see what’s underneath!’ ” ~ Mary-Kate Olsen
If ever I was going to be called a hoarder (which let’s face it, isn’t likely), it would be with my jackets. I admit I have WAY to many jackets.
In my defense, they are so cozy and as someone who is always cold all the time, they are just as important as a top or pants in my wardrobe. If not more so, because they NEED to keep me warm. And trust me NO ONE wants to see me cold.
You have all heard of hangry well I get chillgry and it isn’t because I am chillen like a villain, I AM the frickin’ villain if I am freezing my digits off!
Thus my perfectly understandable reasoning as to why I have a gazillion and ten coats.
Now I may or may not have gone a little overboard this summer and bought not one, not two, but THREE new coats. Your honor Amazon made * me do it though!
Seriously, When a jacket is suppose to be two hundred dollars and it is on Amazon for fifty, HOW can you resist that steal? It is like telling me to walk into Starbucks and do not order coffee.
Also my dramedy fest aside, I did need a heavy new winter coat. Did I need to buy two? I’ll be honest, no. BUT given the fact that Naketano was having crazy sales and I could buy one jacket for a quarter of the original price, I felt totally justified.
I was also in the market for a wool coat that I could wear in the call as well as out for a dressy night during the winter.
If you are on Facebook, (Call Me, Friend Me) you may or may not see ads for ChicWish. Who knows how the heck Facebook’s algorithm works these days, but their advertisements are always popping up, despite never having bought anything from them in my whole entire twenty some odd years of being on this planet. And for about the last four of them, this jacket kept showing up on Facebook.
I can’t be mad at Facebook, because they do know their market, and I began to covet this fabulous jacket. At the same time it was Facebook, a brand I had never shopped at, were the Russian’s behind it? and I have never bought anything from Facebook. That was when Amazon came to the rescue, thank you shopping gods!
I debated whether or not to get the white checkered jacket or the neutral check and finally settled on the latter. I also debated on sizing. Depending on the brand and whether or not it comes in petite, I vary. I settled on an X-Small and it was the perfect fit!
I admit I didn’t have high expectations, it was on Facebook for Pete sake! (poor Pete) But guys, this has become THEE jacket. The quality alone surpassed my expectations. It is not only very well made, but also heavy. Heavier then I thought it would be.
I was immediately attracted to the shape of the jacket which is unique and stylish. I love the big surplice neckline which not only adds more pizazz, but is also warm. The sash is long, and easy to tie, though I do have to usually double knot it and the sleeves are the perfect length.
Done in blacks, browns, grays, and even some navy, this jacket goes with everything, making it super easy to style. I have worn it with leggings, jeans, and even dresses. It can be dressed up or down making it incredibly versatile.
This jacket was such a surprise. (and steal) I didn’t think I would love it or wear it as much as I have been rocking it this fall. This chic jacket turns outerwear into its own statement pieces, to the post I don’t want to take it off even when I am inside!
Do you have a favorite fall jacket? Have you ever bought a product through a social media ad? How did it work out for you?
