White, Nautical and Navy

Hello, hello friends! We are just a few days away from the Fourth of July and summer is JUST getting started. While I do love a great patriotic motif, I am also all about versatility in my wardrobe and a shirt saying USA doesn’t lend to much versatility, which is why I like to stick to the red, white, and especially navy or in my case white, nautical, and navy. Yes taking some liberties there. Navy is one of my favorite colors and a huge staple in my wardrobe. It isn’t only classic AND versatile, but also screams nautical in my opinion. And really most nautical colors or pretty much patriotic anyway so win-win.

Dudley Stephen’s Waffle Pullover

The first sign is admitting you have a problem, and I whole heartedly admit that I own way to many Dudley’s in Navy, but their pullovers are the best!! And they are the epitome of nautical and cozy. Two of my favorite things. This waffle knit pullover is especially luxurious and it is perfect for boating or those more chilly beach days. Depending on the weather I will style it with either white jeans or shorts, and I have the perfect nautical outfit. I also adore how I can style it to be a bit more dressy because of the material, so if you are running to church or a more casual dinner, it is perfect. I just switch out my flip-flops with a pair of corked heels and I am good to go. It is literally a look I have been rocking all summer long.

Anthropologie Lobster sweater

Every year they come out with a nautical variation of this chunky NOT your grandmother’s cardigan though it certainly feels like it sweater. And I am obsessed with them. While I had wanted the lobster one in navy, I do adore the blue lobster on the cream background of the version that I own. It is perfectly nautical meets MY definition of Coastal Grandmother. This year they actually switched it up. The lobster version is red on a cream background, BUT they also did a navy sweater with a sea horse on the back which I just adore, These sweaters are perfect to throw over dresses, jeans, and even shorts and are soo cozy, which I am all about.

Navy Tanks

As I mentioned navy comprises as much as my wardrobe as black does, which is to say, quite a bit. I adore these Love tanks from Lululemon which are a great basic and layering piece. They come in a bunch of colors, but of course my favorite is the navy, and it is the perfect navy color, not to green or washed out. I don’t have my outfit planned yet for the Fourth, but I am pretty sure this will be a part of it. It works well with sweaters, denim and even my favorite paperbag shorts.

In2Green Navy Wrap

I love a great wrap, and one in navy? I am sold! This one from In2Green is a favorite. It literally feels like I am wearing a blanket, and where it is made out of their own blend of recycled t-shirt fabric, used in their blankets, I kinda am. I adore how elegant it looks, and that I can use it at the beach OR out to dinner and I will always be stylish while STILL being cozy.

A Navy Jumpsuit

I love a great navy jumpsuit. Jumpsuits in general, are so easy to wear, because not a lot goes into styling them as it is literally a dress with a pant bottom. One and done I say. This one from Pink Lily is perfect for Fourth of July festivities, or if you want to go boating. Throw a denim jacket and some navy rope jewelry and you are good to go!

Lobster Bag and Earrings

An outfit isn’t complete without accessories, and navy ones at that! Roula from Sewcialite I feel has the monopoly on great coastal accessories. Her Bobby the lobster clutch in navy is a fun summer staple with a nautical flare. Or you could go for a more subtle look in this color block cutch. And of course I can’t forget about her earrings. Her rope earrings were what sold me on her brand (besides her amazing customer service) and I adore the knotted ones in navy, which instantly elevate any outfit and the bonus they are so lightweight.

Are you a navy fan? Do you get dressed up for the Fourth or do you prefer a more subtle look?
