Happy April

How are we finishing out April friends? I can not believe it! Furthermore Gemini season is just around the corner and I am so excited! April was a mixed month, as I celebrated Easter with my fam, but I also spent the majority of it sick with covid. And lord was I sick. I don’t think anything about this illness will surprise me anymore. Thankfully I am finally on the mend, and there were major bright sides to April, like the ninety degree days we had, even if I was sick in bed, we still got a glimpses of summer and I can not wait! I am excited for May and the promise of beach days!

I am finishing April out strong, because tonight is the Mordance season ten premiere and I am so excited for it! With two new ballets, and an old favorite that has been restaged, it is sure to be an incredible two nights. If you are in New York, and looking for something to do tonight and/or tomorrow, there are still some tickets available! Now without further ado here are my favorites from this April.

French Ombre Nails

I am kind of obsessed with this tik-tok trend and I decided to put my own spin on it this time around. Instead of the pink and white, I did a silver sparkle ombre mixed with the white tip. I love how it came out. It is glitz and glam while still being a great neutral option.

Blooms

‘Tis the season friends! Everything is in bloom and I am obsessed! This time of year is so special, yet fleeting. Literally you blink (or the rain comes) and the cherry blossoms are gone, which is why I soak up while I can. From Washington DC, to Central Park, the blooms really are alive, and I am snapping ALL the pictures!

This Pink Blazer

I know, I know, I shared this the other day, but friends this pink blazer from Pink Lily really is the best! I have been rocking it weekly, because it is just so good! It really does add that extra pizazz to any outfit, while still being super chic. It is a statement and I am here for it.

Vegamour Hair Mask

I am always on the hunt for great hair products, especially where I color treat my hair. I strive for optimum hair health (I know I sound like a commercial!) and this Vegamour Hair mask is my new favorite. Not going to lie, it has a funky texture, but I don’t hate it. It almost feels like silicone, yet it leaves my hair feeling super soft and insanely healthy. It does have a soft floral smell so if that is not your thing it may not be for you, but if it is definitely check this one out because it has done amazing things for my hair!

Lilly Pulitzer Sweater

By now we all know my obsession with Lilly Pulitzer, and the Easter Bunny knows as well. In my basket I got the most adorable sweater that is me to a tee. It says “Coffee, Beach, Repeat.” which is incredibly appropriate. It actually comes in a variety of colors and sayings, but this one could have been made for me. It is so soft and can be styled with jeans, skirts, or shorts. Much like the sweater says I will be rocking it on repeat.

What I am Watching and Listening too:

Contrary to being sick, I did not watch much television. I literally laid in bed and just existed. If I watched anything it was actually cooking and baking reels on Instagram. Which is ironic since I had no appetite, and am only just now starting to eat again. I did manage to binge watch The Diplomat with Keri Russell and Rufus Sewell which was phenomenal! I NEED a second season asap! If you haven’t watched it you need too! I also haven’t been listening to much music, but with the show closing, I did start re-listening to the Phantom of the Opera Cast Recording, and I have to admit not only did it fill me with nostalgia, it really is a great album.

How was your April? What is something you have been loving this month? Have you watched anything fun?
